
Terry Phelan Scheidt graduated from Michigan State University and earned her MFA in English and Creative Writing from Mills. She has published numerous feature articles and essays in the San Francisco Chronicle and the Pacific Sun. Her poetry has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and most recently appeared in RATTLE, Runes, Marin Poetry Center Anthology, Mudfish (volumes 13 and 15), pms (poemmemoirstory), Red Rock Review and the anthology Not What I Expected: the Unpredictable Road from Womanhood to Motherhood. Her first book of poetry, Husk, was published in November 2007 by Box Turtle Press (New York). She lives in Northern California with her husband and three children, where she is Chair of the Marin Poetry Center.
